It might come as a surprise to some of you, but I am an obsessive fan of all things Pearl Jam. I’ve seen them live half-a-dozen times, have an unhealthy collection of concert memorabilia and also have more CDs, LPs and 45s then I wish to count. This song by Eddie is off of the soundtrack to A Brokedown Melody, which is a groovy littler surfer doc.

I forgot where I found this one. It’s off of an album called Rubaiyat, which was a two-CD collection compiled for Elektra’s 40th Anniversary but I don’t have that. It featured a bunch of Elektra artists covering songs by other Elektra artists – self-congragulatory label masturbation at its best. This is a cover of a Phil Ochs anti-war song and is sadly just as relevant today as it was when he first recorded it.
