“Love” in The 80s

I really have to figure out what I’m going to do with my old site. But before I do that I want to make sure everyone updates their links. So if you have/know anyone who does link to this blog, make sure their links are updated! Does anyone know if I’m still showing up on The Hype Machine? I haven’t bothered to figure that out yet.

Moving sucks, even in a virtual space.

Love Like Blood (Version)

If anyone on the planet can tell me what the fuck “Love Like Blood” is about, or what the singular phrase “Love Like Blood” means, I will be eternally grateful and reward them with cookies. I love this damn song, but i cannot for the life of me figure out what the hell it’s about. I’m assuming the overall message of the song is “love is a motherfucker” but any independent corroboration of that theory would be much appreciated. Both of these “versions” are from the 12” single of “Love Like Blood.”

Holly Johnson
Love Train (Ride The ‘A’ Train)
Love Train (Stoke It Up)
Murder In Paradise<

And if anyone can prove to me that “Love Train” isn’t about dick, then you also get a cookie. Because when the lead singer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood sings “Riding the love train/stroke it up”  (I don’t care what the name of the 7” mix is, he’s saying “stroke’ not “stoke”) I think we all know what he’s talking about. These tracks are from the 12” of “Love Train.”

I can’t remember when last I saw you on HypeM – must have been about 1 week ago! Are you moving to another site?

Oh how I preferred the music penalisation from the decennary, everything seemed to be way many yeasty than time music.

This comment is spam, I removed the link it was promoting. But I just loved the term “many yeasty than time music” and had to approve it.
